Abstract

The present study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of guided endodontics in calcified anterior teeth based on already published literature. The sources were the PubMed, Web of Science, Lilacs and Scopus databases, through search strategies by combining descriptors. The eligibility criteria for this study included articles available in full addressing anterior and calcified teeth. In total, 222 articles were found. After reviewing the duplicates, a total of 106 were reached, which were analyzed by 3 independent evaluators through the inclusion of “calcified anterior teeth”, resulting in 9 articles on guided endodontics in anterior teeth after the adopted criteria. This integrative review concluded that the use of guided endodontics is an effective alternative for accessing calcified canals in anterior teeth, being a viable and safe method for the clinician.
